Marina Shores
Marina Shores was developed in the early 2000s, and development has continued late into the 2010s. The neighborhood comprises varying housing styles and architecture, including family homes, townhouses, and condos. The average price of homes is about $300,000, and most homes have two to three bedrooms. The neighborhood also has a direct lake channel to Lake Michigan.
Bel Air
The homes in Bel Air were built in the 1970s through to the 1990s. Homes in the range go for around $200,000 and include ranches and triple-story homes. Homes are typically smaller than those found in the rest of Portage; however, Bel Air is an excellent place for people to live, young and old.
Ogden Dunes
The homes of Ogden Dunes are built along the sand dunes of Lake Michigan, thus providing homeowners with excellent views of the Lake and direct access to it. The neighborhood is made up of primarily modern and beach-style homes ranging from $200,000 to $900,000. Homeowners also have easy access to Indiana Dunes National Park as well as Chicago.
Beverly Shores
Beverly Shores is a small community of a little over 600 people. The neighborhood was built in the early 1930s and has remained a small, quaint community. The town’s homes are located on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan and are surrounded by a wooded area. Residents have excellent access to the surrounding nature as well as their very own train station. Property prices range from $200,000 to well over one million dollars.
